The items in the pressure steam sterilizer cannot be overcrowded and cannot exceed the capacity of the pot. Try to sterilize similar items in the same pot. If different types of items are packed together, the temperature and time required to sterilize the items should prevail. When placing the items, the upper, lower, left and right sides should be staggered, leaving a gap so that the steam can easily penetrate. The large sterilization bag should be placed on the upper layer, and the small bag should be placed on the lower layer. When the cloth and metal items are sterilized at the same time, the metal items should be placed on the lower layer, so that the heating of the two is basically the same, and to prevent the sterilization of metal items. Condensation wets the wrapping cloth.

When using a pressure steam sterilizer, the most important thing is to remove the air from the pot. If there is air in the pot, the pressure pointed by the air pressure needle is not the pressure generated by saturated steam. At the same pressure, steam mixed with air has a lower temperature than that produced by saturated steam. Therefore, the air in the pot is completely eliminated so that all the water vapor in the pot can be completely sterilized. The common method is: close the air release valve, after the power is turned on, when the pressure rises to 0.05MPa, open the air release valve to release the air, and close the air release valve after the pointer of the pressure gauge returns to zero. After the valve is closed and then energized, when the pressure gauge rises to 0.1MPa, the timer starts to maintain the pressure for a specified time.
