Evacuate the air before sterilization

When the table top steam sterilizer begins, be sure to remove the air from the instrument.

If the air in the instrument is not emptied, the reading on the pressure gauge will be the sum of the pressures of both the air and the water vapor. This may cause the pressure value to be reached, but the temperature in the sterilization chamber has not yet reached the required situation, which affects the sterilization effect.

Not all sterilized items are suitable for rapid deflation

After the work of the table top steam sterilizer is finished, it is necessary to wait for the instrument to release steam to cool down, and then open the table top steam sterilizer after the value of the pressure gauge returns to zero. Sometimes in order to save time, the manual steam release valve can be opened to accelerate cooling. However, it should be noted that not all sterilized items are suitable for rapid steam release. Some sterilized items can be damaged by sudden drops in pressure and temperature.

The sterilization effect has nothing to do with the size of the instrument

Some people think that the bigger the table top steam sterilizer, the better the sterilization effect, but this is not true. No matter the size of its volume, as long as the packaging and loading of sterilized items comply with regulations, and the temperature and time settings reach the level of sterility assurance, effective sterilization can be achieved.
