1. The operation and daily maintenance of the pressure steam sterilizer should be carried out by well-trained personnel.

2. Preventive maintenance procedures should include regular inspection of the sterilizer cabinet cavity, door tightness, and all instruments and controls by qualified personnel.

3. Saturated steam should be used, and it does not contain corrosive inhibitors or other chemicals that may contaminate the items being sterilized.

4. All items to be autoclaved should be placed in a container with good air permeability and good heat permeability; the sterilizer cabinet should be loosely loaded so that the steam can act on the load evenly.

5. When the interior of the sterilizer is pressurized, the interlocking safety device can prevent the door from being opened, while the pressure steam sterilizer without interlocking device should close the main steam valve and open the door when the temperature drops below 80°C.

6. When the liquid is autoclaved, since it may boil due to overheating when the liquid is taken out, the slow discharge setting should be used.

7. Even if the temperature of the pressure steam sterilizer drops below 80°C, the operator should wear appropriate gloves and face shield for protection when opening the door.
